"Our Practice Philosophy"

We believe in "patient oriented quality." What does patient oriented quality mean? It is how the patients experience their healthcare. Patients have a need to know that their physician and the staff are highly knowledgeable; that they have the fundamental education and training and keep up to date with the newest technology, techniques and knowledge. Patients also have a fundamental belief that the physician knows what works and what is best generally and specific for any particular individual. This has to be communicated to the patient. We are also strong believers in teamwork; the most important member of the team is the patient; the leader is the physician.

Daniel Rieders was born in Hollywood, California, the third of four siblings. He graduated from UCSB with a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. He graduated from medical school from the University of Southern California in 1980. He finished his internal medicine training at USC and then completed two fellowships UCLA: Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He remained on faculty at UCLA and later went on faculty at USC, where he trained cardiology and electrophysiology fellows, while also practicing medicine in that local community.
Within 5 years of finishing his two fellowships, about 90% of what he actually practiced in the community had not been invented by the end of the fellowships. Dr. Rieders strived to keep up with the amazing new developments in cardiology and electrophysiology, something he continues to do to this day.

Dr Rieders is the most experienced electrophysiologist from Ocala to Leesburg. The procedures he does generally have superior outcomes, technically. Dr. Rieders is a holistic practitioner. This means that he not only treats the whole patient, he also treats the cause of the symptoms and the disease, not just symptoms of the disease. This requires time and a sacred space where both hearts are open.

He is truly an expert and truly a doctor who cares about his patients. He loves his patients.
